Diverse Yacht Services is just that – Diverse.  From the top of the mast to the tip of the keel Diverse Yachts can supply you with the very best products to get the most out of your boat.  With a group of close international partner companies and complimentary companies, Diverse can offer a complete range of electronic and hardware options all over the world, as well as a few extras to make life easier.

We work closely with our suppliers to make sure that we are supplying the most cutting edge products on the market and we also develop and manufacture products of our own.  We listen to the needs of each customer and create a custom system to suit their individual yachting requirements.  Diverse can supply you with masthead wands, rigging, custom spar components, loadcells, custom electronic systems, a full range of deck blocks and winches and have the expertise and personnel to complete the service.

Our History

Diverse was founded in 1982 by Lou Varney and Phil Wardop and since it’s inception it has been on the forefront of race boat technology.

1982-1991 – Diverse build a successful range of spars for the IOR classes

1982 – Diverse brings the loadcell to the marine market enabling accurate load measurement on board in real time.

1992 – Lou Varney wins the Americas Cup with America 3.

1993 – Diverse launches the vertical masthead wand delivering better wind data on board.  The wand was later marketed by B&G and is still one of their top selling products to date.

1995 – Diverse moves from it original home in Cowes to the mainland to better service the growing number of international clients.

1996 – Diverse launches the RaceVision Computer, the first commercially available on deck computer with touch screen.

2005 – Diverse acquires composite manufacturing company Tropical Engineering together with Bob Cundell and Simon Fisher.

2011 – Will Best and Simon Fisher become directors of Diverse.

2012 – Diverse opens Diverse Loadsense to design and manufacture loadcells in house.

2013 – Diverse moves to a new facility in Hamble as the company continues to expand.

2015 – Simon Fisher wins the Volvo Ocean Race as navigator of Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing
