| Electronic Systems Installation |

GENERAL
Today's electronic systems on cruising and racing yachts are simple in their operation yet complex in their design and installation. For many years the basic functions of navigation and performance have remained the same; Speed, position, true wind speed and true wind direction. The way this information is obtained, processed and posted has so greatly changed that a large part of Diverse Yacht Services' business is taken up by advising owners and crews of the most suitable equipment for them and then fitting it into their craft. Diverse installed a high proportion of the electronic systems in yachts which competed in the Farr 40 Regattas, Cowes Week and the Volvo Round the World Race.
Phil Wardrop has been at the forefront of the installation of all forms of marine electronic systems on every size and type of yacht from the smallest racer up to world girdling racing, cruising and large luxury yachts. With the increasing complexity of the systems, Phil Wardrop is able to interface and harmonise equipment which by its very nature needs meticulous installation. Electronics and the marine environment do not readily mix, so unless all systems are correctly installed, calibrated and checked the investment in the equipment is wasted. One sees various claims from brand name manufacturers but Diverse Yacht Services will get the electronic packages working for you out there on the briny.
WHICH SYSTEMS?
Diverse Yacht Services work with a large range of suppliers. In one year they will fit a multitude of B&G units, dozens of Raymarine systems, a clutch of Simrad systems and a number of Silva units.
Diverse also sell and service Ockam Instruments from the USA.
Modern Yachts today have a plethora of electronic and electrical systems on board, it is vital that the systems installed on board can meet the demands made of them.
To this end Diverse Yacht Services have supplied equipment from the above manufacturers, and, for a number of years have worked in close conjunction with Adverc BM Ltd to ensure to battery and charging related issues are dealt with in the most logical manner for these specialised applcations
SYSTEM MANAGERS
Phil Wardrop is never more at home than when he is interfacing marine electronic systems into a central computer manager. He has the happy knack of being able to provide the navigator with a cleverly arranged array of programmes and data. To be able to pull up and analyse information in multi-various formats at the touch of a button can only make it easier to sail at peak performance as well as giving the skipper clear and accurate tactical information.
