PROJECT - case study

Christopher
Genre: Superyacht

Diverse Yacht Services install a Ron Holland 46m Ketch, Christopher.

In late 2009 Diverse Yachts were invited by Duane MacPhail of Palm Beach Yachting International to supply and fit a full Nav/Comms/IT electronics package for a new Ron Holland designed 46 metre aluminium ketch under construction at Pendennis Shipyard in Falmouth, Cornwall. The owners brief was to create a vessel that celebrated classic traditions but embraced new sailing technologies so that she performed equally as a beautiful family ‘home from home' as well as a performance sailing cruiser.

Working in conjunction with the Pendennis electrical department, Alastair Chisholm (A Diverse engineer) completed the installation in Spring 2011 in time for the St Barth’s Bucket. After a season in the Caribbean and US east coast the yacht returned to the Pendennis Shipyard for some modifications in autumn 2011 before setting off again on a world cruise. At the time of writing the yacht is in Pacific waters.
